The West Australian branch of the Australian Democrats, currently operating as a division of the South Australian branch, is calling for new members as we build our presence in the state.

We encourage all West Australians who occupy the middle ground in the Australian political landscape, and feel as if their voices are no longer being heard, to join us, as we retake the centre. It is imperative that the Australian Democrats have a presence in the state political scene, in order to act as a balance in the current political climate, and to give a voice to those in the centre that the major parties have seemed to forget.

Currently, the West Australian division is being overseen by Acting Convener, Reece Hollett. If you would like to get in contact with Reece, to discuss ideas as well as find out about branch activities, please feel free to contact him by email at reecehollett@gmail.com.

Nominations are currently open for Branch Executive roles, and all new members are welcome to nominate for positions within the branch. These consist of:

  • Chairperson
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Membership Officer

If you are of a centrist ideology, and would like to join us, we encourage you to become a member. If you are unsure of what we stand for, you can view our policies here. The Australian Democrats pride themselves on being a democratic party where all members have a voice, as a member you would have the ability to share your ideas, join our debates and help shape our national policies.

The Australian Democrats are a non for profit political organisation that relies on membership and donations in order to operate. With your help we can one day reclaim the centre.
